Golf in Thailand 

     Just a few decades ago, golf was restricted to a limited number of courses around the country, the vast majority of them close to Bangkok.
     Since then, the growth of golf as a sport has been nothing short of explosive. Today there are literally hundreds of world-class courses located all over the country (particularly near major tourist centres), the off-course facilities are excellent, and the infrastructure is also highly developed in the form of professional coaching, driving ranges, and countless retail outlets selling everything the dedicated golfer requires. Perhaps best of all, golf for the visitor is relatively inexpensive, with a weekday round for a visitor on a course near Bangkok costing as little as Baht 1,000 or US$25.50.
